Net 4 customers are not able to reach any person within the company for support. We tried calling the company, but its phone lines are either disconnected or calls don’t connect to any human operator. It is unclear if the company is even operating with skeletal staff. Net 4’s website is up, but little else is visible.

Read the report and there were more than enough warning signs?

I agree but the registries should be stepping in. I.e. a bulk transfer of all domains to another registrar, and an email to all registrants explaining that they can deal with their domains through the new registrar.

What’s unclear is why the company has been permitted to continue to operate as an accredited registrar, despite its insolvency proceeding being a direct violation of the RAA. ICANN filed a suspension notice in June last year, but has postponed its effective date ever since.
